Fired 30rd groups with 3x 223 loads from an Unrivaled 16.69” AR barrel assembled conventionally at 80ft/lbs torque.
Disassembled and lapped with Wheeler Engineering’s lapping tool, then re-fired 30rd groups with same lots of same ammo.
Lapping the receiver had no effect on bulk 55gr PMC (particularly bad lot) but showed improvement with match-grade loads.
This barrel performs very well compared to ANY AR barrel, which makes it all the more impressive that it’s lightweight and chrome-lined (for longer barrel life). $30 worth of special tricks done to the receiver helps make a great barrel group even better!
