Converting Number Bases (To and From Base 10)

Hello there! For today's video, I will be talking about numbers. Technically, I will be reintroducing numbers in a way that isn't as commonly known. When we normally count numbers, we know them as 0123456789 and so on. This way of understanding numbers of counting numbers is called base 10. In different industries, you'll encounter numbers in different bases. For example, binary is base 2 and hexadecimal is base 16. Aside from these bases, there are many other numbers you can use as bases. In this video, I will show you how to convert a number from base x to base 10 and then from base 10 to base x. Converting to base 10 is easier in my opinion because it uses addition. Converting from base 10 uses subtraction. They both aren't too complicated but it definitely might be weird if this is the first time you're seeing this.

Components of a number:
The bigger number is the value and the subscript is the base. In real life, we omit the subscript of 10 when counting so technically 196 is 196 base 10 (shown as a subscript).
