How I Paint NMM (Non-Metallic Metal)

In this video, I will show you how to paint the armor of this awesome miniature, Alexandra Uthgarde, with a technique called non-metallic metal (NMM)! This is a complete guide to painting realistic metallic effects using only acrylic paints.

You'll learn the most important rule for NMM: high contrast, and how to simplify complex shapes into spheres and cylinders to understand how light reflects on them. We'll start with the theory and then apply these techniques to Alexandra's silver and gold armor, and even her sword! I'll show you my best tips for creating smooth gradients and how to make your minis look polished and professional.
