In this video, our volunteer Fabio shows you how to tie a "Mylar Prince Nymph" fly. As for the Prince Nymph, this is just an attractor fly that is not intended to imitate any insect. This is a wet fly that you can use to target steelhead, trout and panfish. Fish it in conjunction with another nymph or egg pattern (steelhead) under an indicator.
Materials list:
Thread: 6/0 black
Hook: Tiemco 2457 Caddis Size 10
Bead: Black 5/32
Lead wire: .015 8 to 10 wraps
Tail: Brown goose biots
Body: Peacock Mylar
Ribbing: Small copper wire
Thorax: 3 strands of Peacock herl
Wings: White goose biots
Head: Peacock ice dub (optional)
