U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth joined Panama’s Public Security Minister, Frank Abrego, for a joint press conference in Panama City on Wednesday. Hegseth said America is committed to supporting the Panama Canal, noting that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has already been working closely with the Panama Canal Authority since it’s creation in 1904.
