A Royal Affair (2012) was directed by Nikolaj Arcel. The story is set in the 18th century, at the court of the mentally ill King Christian VII of Denmark, and focuses on the romance between his wife, Caroline Matilda of Great Britain, and the royal physician Johann Friedrich Struensee.
"The Letters" in a wonderful version of Caroline's Theme. It foolows her mood as she writes, alternating between reflection and putting down sentences on paper.
