Patrice O'Neal Deserves Better

The 9th Annual Patrice O'Neal Benefit is set for Jan 18, 2022. Featuring performances by Bill Burr, Pete Davidson, Chris Distefano, Matteo Lane, Yamaneika Saunders, Sherrod Small, Cipha Sounds, Mike Vecchione, Rich Vos, and Sal Vulcano. You know who won't be there? Gregg "Opie" Hughes, Anthony Cumia, Colin Quinn, Bob Kelly, Dante Nero, Louis CK (probably), and pretty much everyone else from Opie & Anthony and Tough Crowd.

We asked Patrice's urn to comment on the lineup for this year's benefit, to which the ashes quickly responded, "ugh...". It's a good cause, I know, but Matteo Lane? Yamaneika Saunders? Pete Davidson?? Dude... Straight up egregious.

We're coming up on 10 years now since Patrice's death on November 29, 2011 and something about that anniversary made me feel even worse about the fact that these are the people attending Patrice's benefit, so I made a video complaining, as I do. It's sappy, it's uninformed, it's poorly edited, but above all, it's a good way to waste 13 minutes of your life.
