For the longest time there existed two versions of the Imperial stormtrooper. We have old Ben Kenobi's elite stormtrooper trope that also existed in legends lore, and then we have the stormtroopers in A New Hope who can't even hit the side of a barn. Andor finally explores why the portrayal of stormtroopers are so inconsistent and it is neatly tied in with why the empire failed in the first place.
