In this powerful and emotional video, we feature brave queer women who fled Uganda due to extreme homophobia, discrimination, and threats to their safety. Coming from a country where same-sex relationships are criminalised, they had no choice but to seek asylum in the UK to live freely as their true selves.
Now in London, they are finally able to enjoy life without fear of persecution, build meaningful relationships, and be part of a supportive LGBTQ+ community. They share their journeys, struggles, and hopes for the future—while sending a strong message that love is love, and no one should be punished for who they are.
