തിരുവനന്തപുരം പേയാട് മാലിന്യം തള്ളാൻ എത്തിയതെന്ന് കരുതി നാട്ടുകാർ തടഞ്ഞ വാഹനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 20 കിലോ ഹൈബ്രിഡ് കഞ്ചാവ് പിടികൂടി. 'ഇന്നലെ അർധരാത്രിയാണ് സ്കോർപിയോ വാഹനത്തിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ പേയാട് പരിസരത്ത് എത്തിയത്.പ്രദേശത്ത് നിരന്തരം മാലിന്യം നിക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നത് തടയാൻ രൂപീകരിച്ച ജാഗ്രതാ സമിതിയാണ് വാഹനം തടഞ്ഞത്. നാട്ടുകാരെ കണ്ട് ഓടി രക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച പ്രതികളായ റോഷൻ, വിഷ്ണുലാൽ എന്നിവരെ നാട്ടുകാർ തന്നെ ഓടിച്ചിട്ട് പിടികൂടുകയായിരുന്നു. വാഹനത്തിനുള്ളിൽ പരിശോധന നടത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് പൊതികളിലാക്കി സൂക്ഷിച്ച ഹൈബ്രിഡ് കഞ്ചാവ് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
