Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2 (PCSX2) - End of the Road WALKTHROUGH [Normal] w/David (Nyx Boss)

Resident Evil: Outbreak (PS2) played on PC with PCSX2 emulator.

The shutter code can be found near a bloody body in the 2nd room. Blood will be on buttons on the keypad. Whatever 3 numbers are covered will be used in the code. There is no way to know which combination of those 3 numbers is the code, so you will have to guess. Mine numbers were 6, 8, and 9. So I would try combinations until one worked: 689, 698, 869, 896, 968, or 986.

Grabbing the crowbar is optional. The panel you use it on can also be damaged enough to open without it. This will save you time from backtracking, but cost you resources. Apparently David can fix the model grenade launcher but I was unaware of this at the time. If you aren't playing as David, swap the model with real grenade launcher.

You can find the Bomb Switch in the sewers. It can only be used once. Using it will instantly kill Tyrant in the sewers or in the streets, but on the bridge for the final Boss it will only serve to expose a weak point. I suggest you use the switch sometime before the final Boss.

This scenario has multiple paths and endings. The 2 key decisions are: A- If you defeat Tyrant before finding Linda. B- If you escape in the helicopter or not.

A: If you defeat Tyrant before finding Linda, you will not be swept up in the drainage water. There will be the extra steps of finding and changing the Valve Handle to escape the sewers, and you will start the next step of the scenario closer to the escape helicopter.

If you DON'T defeat Tyrant before finding Linda, you will be swept away in the drainage water. You will quickly exit the sewers and start the next step of the scenario near Linda and a sniper, and farther from the escape helicopter.

If you want to escape in the helicopter AND rescue Linda, it is pretty much required that you DO NOT defeat Tyrant before finding Linda in the sewers. Otherwise, if you want to escape alone in the helicopter or want to escape using the truck w/ or w/o Linda, you can do either path out of the sewers.

B: There are two ending vehicles. The helicopter is on a timer. You will have to make your way to it within the allotted time, otherwise you will be forced to escape in a truck that comes with it's own Nyx Boss fight. If you want to escape in the helicopter WITH Linda, you need to escape the labs and sewers without defeating Tryant. If you want to escape in the truck WITH Linda, it is suggested you make your way to the truck and defeat the Nyx Boss, THEN go back to get Linda. Beating the Nyx Boss first makes rescuing her much safer, and there is no time limit. Just don't accidentally get in the truck without her or the scenario will end.

The Nyx Boss requires some strategy. It is only vulnerable when it's central core opens up! To open the core, damage the Tyrant sticking out of its shoulder. When you aim at the Nyx Boss, manually adjust your aim slightly to the side so you hit the Tyrant. Once you damage the Tyrant enough, you'll see the core open wide. Again you'll want to manually adjust your aim slightly to the side in order to target the core. Damage it with your most powerful weapons. There should be a rocket launcher in the truck that can kill Nyx in a single hit to its core. Make sure the core is fully open, otherwise you might waste your ammo!
