Compilation video of grain carts in action during harvest operations in South Dakota. The grain cart driver is the true unsung hero during harvest. They're heads are swiveled 180 degrees all day long. All the while being yelled and screamed at by the combine operator all day long. DRIVE OVER HERE!!! STAY THERE!!! FASTER!!! SLOWER!!! TAKE YOUR TIME!!! HURRY UP!!! And on top of all of that they also must know and have mastered the art of knowing hand signals. Here's the thing behind farmers hand signals. A farmer may use the exact hand signal all day long but each time it's used, it means something completely different. And that's up to the grain cart driver to figure it out. And another thing is some of the grain cart drivers may only be 10 years old. And have been driving farm trucks on gravels roads since they were 6. Most city kids can't even run the lawn mower until they're 17!!! And even then it's only under close adult supervision!! haha Hope you enjoy the video. And please like, comment and subscribe!
