After months of composing dystopian, mostly dark music I decided that it was time for a change of pace and go from "future noir" to "present light". While my main computer was being upgraded I reworked some music I had written about a year ago and my tryptic visual piece entitled Mille Luci - A Celebration of Light was reborn.
"Mille Luci" means "a thousand lights" in Italian. It's also the place in Tuscany very dear to my heart.
The second part is "Twilight", celebrating this magical moment of the "golden hour" so dear to photographers. These sunset views of the Lofoten archipelago in Norway at sunset are simply breathtaking.
The three pieces were commissioned about a year ago for a short movie that, because of the pandemic, has still not been released nor sent to festivals as planned. So I decided to create my own little videos to accompany and illustrate my music.
