Sony A7III for Video - The Mall Food Challenge!

So anyone who follows camera reviews knows that the A7III is a great camera for photography, the camera has been on the market for several months already and we felt that the basics of this camera were pretty well covered. We chose to do something a little bit different and do a guerilla filmmaking challenge, a food shoot in a mall food court. It didn’t exactly work out that way though…

A note on our autofocus tests: we just kept the camera in wide tracking zones and weren't selecting what to focus on. We wanted to see how it would pick a subject on it's own to simulate what you might have on a gimbal. That said, in tests with a person in the frame, the camera nailed it every time. You'll see in the shots with Justin or Josh at the end of the video, the camera does a very good job, even when Josh purposefully moves in our out, it always finds him quickly.
