In this episode I explore the Spring Mountain Ranch in the Red Rock Canyon area of West Las Vegas. There is a long history in that area going back to the original indigenous people that inhabited the land 10,000 years ago. It began as a site for early inhabitants, then became part of the Old Spanish Trail and Old Mormon Trail, and later developed into a ranch back in 1876. It became Spring Mountain Ranch State Park in 1976 after Nevada purchased the property from a local Las Vegas car dealer. There is an entrance fee to enter the state park but no other fee needed to wander the grounds.
