जगातील अन्य देशांवर आयात शुल्क लादण्याची घोषणा करुन अमेरिकेचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी एकच खळबळ उडवून दिली होती. त्यांच्या या घोषणेमुळे जगभरातील भांडवली बाजार गडगडले होते. या पार्श्वभूमीवर डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी रेसिप्रोकल टॅक्स धोरणाला (Reciprocal Tax) 90 दिवसांची स्थगिती दिली होती. मात्र, त्यानंतर पुन्हा काय होणार, याबाबत अद्याप अनिश्चितता आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प (Donald Trump) प्रशासनाकडून शनिवारी रात्री आणखी एक महत्त्वाची घोषणा करण्यात आली. त्यानुसार अमेरिकेकडून आकारल्या जाणाऱ्या आयात शुल्कातून स्मार्टफोन, संगणक आणि अन्य इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वस्तूंना वगळण्यात आला आहे. त्यामुळे आता या वस्तूंवर अमेरिकेकडून आयात शुल्क आकारले जाणार नाही. डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांच्या टॅरिफच्या कचाट्यातून या वस्तूंना मुक्ती मिळाली आहे.
