How Could This Happen to Me (Simba)

I started this project ages ago with a contest in mind, but when i rendered a preview of it I didn't like it so i never finished it. About a week ago I was going through all my old projects to clear them off my hard drive and I saw this one and thought I would finish it. Since my video making is mostly limited to the weekends because of classes (damn you evil chemistry), I sort of threw the rest of this together to upload something since I havnt been uploading a lot lately.
there are some parts of this project that I like, for the most part I played around a lot with colors and overlay. The beginning was a attempt at cookie cutter effects, that was the main reason this was originally a video dump project, I worked through some of what I hated about that but its still my least fav part of the video. It starts to get a little better toward the end, but this is by no means my best.
the purpose of this project was really to find and capture the emotion of Mufasa's death and Simba's guilt over it. most of the quotes have something to do with that and I tried to stay with that theme.

I welcome comments and critiques, I'm always looking for ways to improve.
