Why I Started Farming

I’m a first generation, self taught farmer. So what got me started?

Being pregnant with my firstborn got me very interested in eating for the health of my baby — and it was when I read about the development of his brain that sparked my interest in eating, then growing, arugula.

Today we grow organic arugula among many other veggies on our year-round, 70 acre production farm in Maryland. We grow for a Community-Supported Agriculture program, an online farmers market for home delivery, restaurants and schools.
