How "In Stars And Time" Crafts the Perfect Ending.

In Stars in Time has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time. The characters are so charming, the writing is so perfect, the story and world feel so lived in. And a lot of people agree with me, this game has quickly become a cult classic in a lot of ways. But one aspect of this game that I feel should be celebrated more is its ending. More specifically, how the game chooses to end its story in the place that it does. Many series are so focused on ending their story perfectly that they make everything clean and sanitary and thoroughly boring in the process. In contrast to that, In stars and time lets its ending have flaws, it allows its characters to venture off without having all of their problems tied up in a neat little bow. And I think this choice deserves to be talked about.
