From the steep, snowy tracks of the Vic High Country to the pristine rivers and epic views, this trip’s got it all.

We tackle the steep hills on the Scrubby Creek Track in a VW Amarok Gen 1, a Gen 2 Amarok, and a borrowed Triton with oversized tyres.

Camp with us at dog-friendly camping spots near Colac Colac and at the tip of Mount Sassafras, feasting on pulled pork and tomahawk steaks under starry skies. The Victorian High Country welcomes dogs on most tracks, but note: Lake Dartmouth’s a no-go for pups like Nugget.

Crack a mystery beer, dodge Jeremy’s “shortcuts,” and soak in the soul-stirring beauty of snow-dusted peaks and crystal-clear waters.
