Pasteurizing Meads

Описание:

Shows how to pasteurize a 1 gallon carboy of mead to reduce the amount of sediment in wine bottle after racking. Use this method at your on risk!
Note: let the carboy rest for a day or two to allow solids to settle down. Rack above that layer.

Items needed:
1 large pot to hold carboy
1 temperature safe plate or rack
Aluminum foil
Food Temperature Thermometer
Water to nearly fill pot
Medium heat setting on the stove.

The wines made on this channel do not use sulfites. You may use them and\or yeast nutrients and or energizers if that is how you prefer to make your wine/mead. This channel uses pasteurization.
