[FR] Petit bijou de funiculaire historique, cette petite ligne située à Matten bei Interlaken est restée inchangée depuis 1906 année de construction. Si la station aval située au bord de la grande route à l'entrée d'Interlaken Ouest ne présente aux premiers abords aucun intérêt et semble même inexploitée, il faut prendre la ligne pour retrouver l'intérêt historique de cette installation. A la station amont, la machine motrice est exploitée entièrement manuellement, aucun automatisme, l'éclairage y est assuré par d'antiques lampes à arc. Le moteur de 1906 est alimenté sous 2kV triphasé tension très inhabituelle. Seul une télésurveillance SISAG a été ajoutée en 2007.
L'exploitation se fait sur demande la journée en saison touristique.
[EN] A little gem of a historic funicular, this little line located in Matten bei Interlaken has remained unchanged since 1906, year of construction. If the downstream station located at the edge of the main road at the entrance to Interlaken West presents no interest at first glance and even seems unused, you have to take the line to find the historical interest of this installation. At the upstream station, the driving machine is operated entirely manually, no automation, lighting is provided by antique arc lamps. The 1906 motor is powered at a very unusual three-phase 2kV voltage. Only SISAG remote monitoring was added in 2007.
Operation is done on request during the day during the tourist season.
[DE] Diese kleine Linie in Matten bei Interlaken ist ein kleines Juwel unter den historischen Standseilbahnen und ist seit dem Baujahr 1906 unverändert geblieben. Wenn die flussabwärts gelegene Station am Rande der Hauptstrasse am Eingang von Interlaken West auf den ersten Blick uninteressant ist und sogar ungenutzt erscheint, muss man die Linie nehmen, um das historische Interesse dieser Anlage zu finden. An der Oberstation wird die Antriebsmaschine komplett manuell bedient, keine Automatisierung, die Beleuchtung erfolgt durch antike Bogenlampen. Der Motor von 1906 wird mit einer sehr ungewöhnlichen dreiphasigen 2-kV-Spannung betrieben. Im Jahr 2007 kam lediglich die SISAG-Fernüberwachung hinzu.
Der Betrieb erfolgt auf Anfrage tagsüber während der Touristensaison.
