Nao Santa María Arrives in Gravesend | Columbus’s Flagship Recreated

Step aboard history! ⚓ A full-scale replica of Christopher Columbus’s famous flagship, the Nao Santa María, has docked at Gravesend Town Pier and is open to the public until Monday.

Built in 2018 by the Nao Victoria Foundation, this incredible 29-meter ship is a faithful replica of the largest vessel from Columbus’s 1492 voyage. With four masts, five sails, and five decks, it now serves as a floating museum, offering a unique experience of maritime history.

🧭 This marks the ship’s first-ever visit to Gravesend, as part of a grand European tour stopping in the UK, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. Previously, it has visited ports in Mexico, the US, Jersey, and London.
