Here is an uptempo song that was first recorded for Willie's 1970 RCA album "Both Sides Now" with the title "Bloody Merry Morning". It was recorded again for the concept album "Phases & Stages" (1974). Until now there are some other versions out there as well as many covers (as by the "Supersuckers").
In Willie's live performances, he is always doing an extended jam session on this song. I tried to get the spirit of it, but it was hard to record, because it stays in G all the time and you don't know when to go back to the bridge if you don't count the bars LOL, and my "twin" can't play with me, I have to play with him... ;-). So that was the hardest part, to know where I am and to find the right way out of the solo... Hope you like it.
I rcorded it on a very hot day (I felt as if I was in Texas ;-)), so I am sorry that I look so sweaty! ;-)
