Stepping on the foreshore of the Mystical Thames
where multiple objects are thrown in the river and eventually found on the foreshore.

Many religions, including Buddhism and Hinduism, consider the river a sacred place. Rivers, as well as lakes, are seen as holy, a place to worship.

In Hinduism, it is a ritual of immersion, Indians never throw their sacred objects in dustbins.
That's why they do immersion of these offerings in a river, or in lakes or in the ocean.

Why so many coins found on the foreshore of the Thames?
In Roman times, superstitious travellers offered up coins as a source of good luck.

As a bonus, I had the privilege to have my dear good friend and fellow mudlark, Nicola White, with me on the foreshore. And her famous PINK BOOTS.
