ঢাকায় কমনওয়েলথ মহাসচিব শার্লি বচওয়ের নীরব কিন্তু অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সফরটি নতুনভাবে আলোচনায় এনে দিয়েছে— বাংলাদেশে আগামী জাতীয় নির্বাচন কি সত্যিই অংশগ্রহণমূলক হবে? সরকারের বক্তব্য, বিরোধী দলের অভিযোগ, আন্তর্জাতিক চাপ, জুলাই সন্ত্রাসের প্রভাব—সব মিলিয়ে এখন মূল শব্দটি ‘অংশগ্রহণমূলক নির্বাচন’।
