Phil Pioneers Jogging as Sport

This is a short film by my uncle, Neil Reichline, shot in 1969, of his father, Phil, trying to stay fit. Catch the shot of the "Man Walks on the Moon" headline of the paper lying on the bed. Observe the Adidas running shoes; they'd already been around some time... The humor and irony of his run-in with the police still rings true. This is a timeless portrait of a man we all loved for his playful and profound nature. The 16mm footage has been lightly edited for brevity and the music added after the fact.
