For piano accompaniment with sheet music and more notes, see my previous video. In general I tried to connect bows as much as possible, even between some chord changes and phrases. The viola part can function both as a common tone and as a sustain pedal, which this highly resonant instrument facilitated. I tried to bring out a variety of colors in different registers, corresponding to different structural parts of the piece.
If the balance ever seems weighted toward the piano, it's because I tried to give equal weight to both voices in the numerous dialogues between piano right hand and viola, and between both instruments overall.
