I was teaching my Jazz Drummer's blueprint course when one of my students brought up that he was struggling with latin soloing. I saw an example of his playing and realized, technique wasn't the issue., chops weren't the issue, it was phrasing. He was getting lost in his own head. I knew that he was a great student of the book Syncopation so I suggested he play the first phrase from Exercise one on page 38 as his solo. He instantly was able to solo with confidence and authenticity. A complete 180 from where he was just seconds before. I knew right a way that I had to share this with you all. I hope you find this video helpful and I look forward to meeting some of you on calls for the Blueprint!
Cheers!
Tim
