This is a tricky subject that people can easily get wrong, causing frustration at both the Post Office and the DVLA. The DVLA's guidance doesn't explain exactly what the logic behind the system is, so in this video I set out to explain what you need to do. Once your car qualifies for the historic tax class, you can also claim ULEZ exemption.
