Himadri Kishore Dasgupta is one of the most respected and widely read names in modern Bengali literature. A historian by education and a professional writer by choice, he was honoured in 2016 with the Upendra Kishore Ray Chowdhury Award by the West Bengal Shishu Kishore Academy for his book Kalo Ghuri. His stories have been adapted into multiple audio formats and continue to captivate readers and listeners across generations.

The story is narrated by Raja Bhattacharya, a celebrated voice artist, writer, and teacher.
