[Links to what I used below] My Honda Odyssey's paint started to peel a few years ago on the back door and the roof. I found out other people were experiencing the same issue with their white paint vans and cars and there was a notification of this defect. I was hoping it would be covered by a recall but it was not. Apparently, the peeling paint issue was due to how the vehicle was originally painted.
The paint literally peeled off the back of the van and the top. It looked bad and I decided to take action before it got worse.
As my van is now ten years old, I decided to try to paint the van myself. In this video, I show you how I repainted my van using spray paints.

It is not a perfect paint job, but it is pretty good and looks much better than having large spots of missing paint. Bottom line I am happy.
When I called about getting the van professionally repainted, it seemed that it would have cost me at least $900 for a spot repaint of the area.
The total cost of my supplies was around $50 and I did not even use all of the paint or my other supplies… so $50 in supplies is a stretch.
