I've made some changes and additions to my Glass Grand Piano soundfont!
Version 2 of Glass Grand Piano has a reworked layer system, slightly higher filter cutoffs for the "No Layers" presets, and an all-new "Realistic" category of presets that have been configured with regular MIDIs and live playing in mind. And that's everything I changed.
All of the presets with velocity layers now have slightly lower filter cutoffs in the low-to-mid and middle velocity ranges and higher cutoffs in the mid-to-high velocity ranges (the cutoff and filter velocity tracking values for the strings and pad remain unchanged). The goal was to make the piano sound more realistic while still being suitable for black MIDI music and without sounding too filtered or muffled. I think I achieved that for the most part. The transitions between some of the cutoffs are a little more noticeable than before, but hopefully it's not too bad. I think I did the best I could given that there's 22 velocity layers to work with (except for the "Realistic" presets), and almost every velocity layer covers 6 different velocities.
As I mentioned earlier, I added an all-new "Realistic" category of presets that were configured with regular MIDIs and live playing in mind. Unlike all of the other presets, the "Realistic" presets have a filter cutoff for each velocity and realistic release times for each key. And there are versions with or without panning and with or without normalization. The presets with panning use panning opcodes to make the stereo width seem larger, and the presets without panning just use the natural panning/balance of the samples. The presets with normalization use the same level of volume reduction for each key like all of the other presets. The versions without normalization, on the other hand, use different levels of volume reduction for each key to "restore" the full original balance of all of the samples before I normalized them. I do not recommend using the non-normalized presets on black MIDIs.
As always, feel free to make edits or improvements! Otherwise, enjoy the soundfont as is!
