We decided to start scratching off some movies on our top 100 horror movies, so we started with Halloween by John Carpenter and we see why so many people love this franchise! Halloween is a 1978 American slasher film in which Michael Myers escapes from a mental institution and returns to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, on Halloween night to terrorize and murder a group of teenagers, particularly babysitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), while being pursued by his psychiatrist, Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence). The film is known for its suspenseful storytelling, iconic music, and for inspiring a generation of slasher films, despite being made on a low budget.
