I went solo camping recently near Mono Hot Springs. My originaly destination was an extremely remote spot in the Sierra Nevada mountains, however nature had other plans for me. Fallen trees and dead ends kept me from reaching the camping spot I wanted, but ... sometimes those plans fail for a reason! I ended up camping near Mono Hot Springs and would highly recommend it as a weekend getaway destination. I was also able to explore Lake Thomas Edison (Edison Lake) which was just beautiful.
