The Pyramids of Giza are a complex of three ancient royal tombs located on the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt, built around 2600–2500 BC for pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The complex also includes the Great Sphinx, smaller "Queen's Pyramids," and cemeteries. The Great Pyramid, built for Khufu, is the largest of the three and is the last remaining of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
