FPV DRONE RATES FOR BEGINNERS If, you’re like most FPV pilots you probably have some work to do on your rates. Today’s video on FPV Drone Rates is for you! We set up rate profiles and enjoy BOTH freestyle and race-style flying using different rates with the flip of a switch!
Specifically, we cover what “rates” are, how & why to change them in both the Betaflight Configurator and Betaflight OSD, provide you with the rates of some outstanding freestyle and racing FPV pilots like LeDrib, Mr Steele, StingersSwarm, Minchan, Headsup FPV, and Nytfury!
And, we use the average of their rates as a baseline for two Rate Profiles (Freestyle & Race) which we put on a transmitter switch so you can easily change to the correct rates for freestyle and racing simply with the flip of a switch. Oh yeah, we use a 3-position switch so we might as well use that third (middle position) for something, right?!? How about splitting the difference between the race and freestyle rate profiles down the middle and use that rate profile as a testbed for experimenting with future rates? Sound good?
