Karakoram Highway: Cycling one of the world's highest roads 🇨🇳

Cycling The World - Ep. 6

In this episode of my journey to travel the world on a bicycle, I am continuing to cycle the famous Karakoram Highway, which connects China with Pakistan via the world's highest border crossing (Khunjerab Pass, 4700m). On the way I am facing challenges like headwinds or inconveniences with the police, but am also confronted with beautiful landscapes of the Pamir & Kunlun mountains. Some of the highest mountains in the world outside of the Karakoram and Himalayas are located here right next to the road, such as Muztagh Ata (7546m) or Kongur Tagh (7649m). This fact makes the whole region a tourist attraction, mainly for Chinese people, with some of which I had some friendly encounters.
