Takopi's Original Sin (Takopii No Genzai) is a 2025 6 episode anime series originally adapted from mangaka Taizan 5's manga of the same name. It depicts the struggles and perseverance of an alien named Takopi as he strives to spread happiness across the universe, coming across Shizuka Kuze- a young girl who lives a life filled with nothing but grief and despair. Yet despite the distressing hardships Shizuka faces towards her classmates like Marina Kirarazaka and Naoki Azuma, Takopi's willing to do anything he can to put a smile on Shizuka's face and achieve his goal of spreading happiness. The anime instantly gained widespread recognition as one of the saddest yet most powerful stories to be told in recent years, with it's depictions of serious topics being praised for their maturity and realism. It really is a masterpiece, both the anime and manga that is, and a story that you should definitely check out for a depressing experience, but only once you've finished this video spoiling the entire story (daddy needs that $ mone for sum gabagool).
