Dr. Georgia Winters is a licensed clinical forensic psychologist and an Associate Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, where she also serves as Director of the Clinical Forensic Psychology M.A. Program. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, completed her predoctoral internship at UMass Medical School, and pursued postdoctoral training at the University of Virginia. Dr. Winters leads a research lab focused on the prevention of sexual violence, with particular expertise in sexual grooming behaviors. She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and is the author of Sexual Grooming: Integrating Research, Practice, Prevention, and Policy. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Winters consults on criminal, civil, and military cases involving issues related to sexual violence.

1. Describe the stages and behaviors involved in the sexual grooming process.
2. Identify “red flag” sexual grooming behaviors.
3. Apply the empirical research on sexual grooming in the investigation, prosecution, assessment, and treatment of child sexual abuse cases.
