On Todays Misadventure. we present to you the Celebration in the Oaks 2024. In this video, we do every thing you can think of at this event. In this video we were invited out by City Park for a special preview to view the beautiful walking Tour.

We took a guided walking tour of the reimagined light display in the Botanical Gardens of New Orleans City Park. Also, we went to the StoryLand Section of the park and played on the rides at Carousel Gardens amusement park at City Park. On top of all of that fun, we had some of the best hot chocolate that we ever had and toasted some marshmallows over an open fire ! We had an amazing time and we hope you do as well, as we believe that this experience is a New Orleans Must Do!

This is City Park’s largest fundraiser, Celebration in the Oaks, is THE New Orleans holiday family tradition. This incredible light festival has enchanted Park visitors since the 1980s and is vital to the Park’s maintenance, care, and beautification year round. Make memories with your loved ones in City Park this holiday season.

We are bringing you along for the magic and the wonder that is the Celebration In The Oaks walking Tour! The walking tour has many light elements that are unique to this tour, vs. the driving tour! SO it is imperative that you do both as doing one without the other is missing out on the truly unique full experience!

So, come along with us as we take this tour but keep in mind that we do not show you everything as we do want you to show your love and visit this unique and wonderful display at New Orleans very own City Park!

What is Celebration in the Oaks?
Celebration in the Oaks is an annual holiday festivity. From Thanksgiving through the New Year enjoy one of the most spectacular holiday light shows in the country. Watch as the grounds of New Orleans City Park is transformed into 25 acres of dazzling lights and breathtaking, festive displays. The Park, Botanical Garden, Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are all captured with hundreds of thousands of lights to create a winter wonderland here in the Big Easy.

Enjoy the scene of illuminated oak trees with a driving tour throughout the park. Over a million lights will be scattered throughout the 2.25-mile drive to set the scene for the holiday season to come. You can also book a walking tour, which includes access to Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and the Botanical Garden.

Experience an all-access pass to 14 acres of wonder through Storyland, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park – which features 18 rides guaranteed to put a smile on your face – and the elegant Botanical Garden, where you can make memories under the twinkling lights with your loved ones.
