Killdeer birds are a small, well camouflaged bird who nest on the ground. Several years ago I almost stepped on a nest that had been laid in the gravel on the side of the road. But the parental bird alerted and I made a quick get away. Today, at the local Extension Office Gardens & Apiary, our friend, the office agent, took my kids to see the new hatch. 3 baby birds and an egg (not sure if it will hatch or not). I was told I was looking at a nest and I still had a hard time seeing it. The video is of the parent bird distracting us all from her babies. They do a great job!
edit A viewer commented below that the Killdeer species is one that both the male and female adult bird share responsibility for brooding, protecting, raising. They are a fascinating bird, a quick Wikipedia read will add "Random Facts" to you water cooler chats.
