follow these 5 burpees broad jumps tips to and PB your next HYROX Race and to b faster and more efficient in your movement through this station. To do this we are going break down and train the different phases of this movement, integrating the following protocols into your training:
Tip No 1 Start with training the ‘half burpee’ and getting comfortable doing 3 rounds of 20 reps. This drill trains the critical bottom half of the movement pattern.
Tip No 2 Progress from here to integrating 3 rounds of 15 reps of hand release push ups, this drill simulates the chest to floor component of the movement pattern and build explosive strength and endurance though this phase of the movement.
Tip No 3 drill double push up to standing burpees, this builds endurance strength in the chest as well the jump phase, but without gassing you out every session. Work up to 3 rounds of 10 to 15 reps.

Tip No.4 to converse more energy during your burpees, step instead of jumping up and from the bottom position. This can be a game changing to avoid blow out on this station.

Tip No 5. For a stronger / faster 2nd half of your race, practice in your training fuelling on the go, the run after the burpees is when I often take on 1 to 2 energy gels, which helps sustains my speed and pace through the back half of the race. Practicing this in training is critical to allow your body to get better at digesting carbs on the go.
