Three things to think about when trying to decide between the Jawa 42 and the Ronin
First. We find it hard to recommend the Jawas at all. Every time we ride them, we come to the conclusion that on every front -- engine refinement, product quality, finish levels... Jawa needs to do quite a bit better to compete with the big boys. The product quality battle between Ronin (which isn't TVS' best by any stretch of the imagination) and the Jawa isn't one of equals. Second. While TVS' service quality isn't anything to write letters home about, Jawa's network is quite a bit smaller, can appear focussed on staying close to Royal Enfield's network and is known to have inconsistent service quality. We've heard tons of complaints from right across the country. Indifferent product quality doesn't help the Jawa's case here. Third. While the TVS is laser-focussed on being a great city bike to the exclusion of everything else, the Jawa does have a better balance. It's not the best in any particular parameter or category, but it manages the city and the highway both with similar behaviour.
