starting with basic cycles, you can build up percussion (kick drum, snare drum) and other instruments (guitar). there are much more detailed tutorial on strudel.cc - just click on "learn" and check out "First Sounds" and "First Notes" to get started! and if there are any questions just put them in the comments below :)
