We had the pleasure and incredible opportunity to sit down and talk with Dian Nissen, the daughter of the inventor of trampolines, George Nissen. In the beginning of this interview, she talks about her father’s inspiration, his riveting experience in the circus, and what lead to the thoughtful innovation of the modern day trampoline.

Nissen speaks to her experience in competitive trampolining beginning when she was just 9 years old. She remains one of the most successful competitive trampoline athletes in history where she still coaches to this day. Her life closely resembles that of her father’s legacy in which she is still bouncing to this day - where the switch from daily competition trampolining changes to fitness trampolining, better known as mini-rebounding.
