Leon Thomas is in his “grown-man” bag here. His tone? Smoky. The chords? That kind of buttery jazz-funk that makes your shoulders move before you even notice it. And then the lyrics just hits: “You’re not my girl, but you still my muse.” Like… come on. You wouldn’t fold 😂? That’s not a pick-up line. That’s emotional aikido.
This isn’t trying to be “new R&B.” It feels like something you’d hear during golden hour in somebody’s downtown apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows and an incense you can’t pronounce.
