Manchester: Bee Network buses in Manchester City Centre on Monday 6th January 2025

On Monday 6th January 2025, we visited Manchester City Centre to film and photograph the first weekday of the full BEE NETWORK.

Metroline Manchester, owned by Comfort Delgro, had now joined in the network and its many new buses could be easily distinguished by the complex "London-like" fleet numbering system that is very difficult to understand so it is easier to just use the letters as well as numbers.

Everything in operation showed BEE NETWORK including plastering the name on advert buses and obliterating part of the advert.
Many new buses were in evidence including one of Metroline deckers that had already had a scrape, stoving in its nearside skirt panels on its first day out!

So, the Metroline non-standard numbering system.... tell us if you know better but we think:
TE - Trident Enviro
TEH - Trident Enviro Hybrid
WDS - Wright Daimler Streetdeck (Ultraliner)
VMD - Volvo MCV Double decker
BDE - BYD Dennis Electric
DEM - Dennis E200 midi
DE - Dennis E200
VHA - Volvo Hybrid ADL
VW - Volvo Wright (Eclipse Gemini)
If you think any of these are wrong, please add a comment. We have requested the real answers from Manchester Metroline but they are a bit busy at the moment, having put 420 buses on the road in recent days!
