Long before Oxford and Harvard existed, India was home to the world’s first residential international university — Nalanda. Nearly 1,500 years ago, students from China, Korea, Tibet, Persia and over 20 countries travelled to Bihar to study astronomy, mathematics, medicine, philosophy, logic and debate at an advanced level.
