Light dependent & independent stages and how it relates to NPP = GPP - R

The stages of photosynthesis explained and shown where they happen in the chloroplast. All in one contextual diagram :) Using the level of detail and terminology you need for the exam.

This video starts with the structure of the chloroplast (and a reminder of where it is!) and an overview of photosynthesis. It then builds the 'story' of photosynthesis, describing and explaining the light dependent and light independent reactions. As a bonus, it describes what the product of photosynthesis is used for and explains how photosynthesis relates to Gross Primary Production and Net Primary Production in your Energy Transfer up a food chain topic. The video finishes with going through some exam questions, demonstrating how to read and answer them using accurate terminology. This video is primarily focusing on the detail required for the AQA syllabus, but will give any A level biology student a very good knowledge of the whole process.

As always, the video is time-stamped right at the beginning so that you can jump to the bit you need. This completely mucks up me 'gaining' via YouTube algorithms but your work efficiency is key!
